The German Music Author Awards took place in Berlin last week (May 21), honouring the best songwriters of German music over the past year.
Hosted by GEMA, the ceremony took place at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in the city.
The German Music Author Awards (German Musikautorenpreis) run by GEMA are voted for by songwriters and associated professionals
Composer and teacher Helmut Lachenmann was awarded the Lifetime Achievement prize in 2015, while indie band Sea & Air won the Newcomer Award.
