Global music distribution and label services company Horus Music has launched a standalone online music publishing arm – Anara Publishing.
Focusing completely on music publishing, Anara Publishing looks after a diverse roster that includes independent artists, composers and songwriters.
The business works with clients from sister company Horus, but not exclusively.
Along with royalty administration, Anara actively pitches their clients’ songs for sync opportunities in movies, television, advertising and video games.
The company cites an ‘impressive network of contacts’ including the likes of Sony Pictures, Lionsgate, Playsta8on, VICE, CBS and beyond.
“Having a handpicked roster means that we work with artists we truly believe in and that we are focused on finding the best opportunities.”

Working in collaboration with the Horus Music India office, Anara Publishing has taken its name from the Hindi word for ‘powerful’ or ‘complete’.
Anara Publishing Director Deborah Smith said: “Having a handpicked roster means that we work with artists we truly believe in and that we are focused on finding the best opportunities.
“I’m excited to be expanding into the world of music publishing and to showcase these amazing artists.”
Anara Publishing will also take care of the administration work for its writers by liaising with collection societies so that clients receive the performance and mechanical royalties they are entitled to.
Anara Publishing is currently accepting submissions for its roster.Music Business Worldwide
