Ministry Of Sound‘s General Counsel and General Secretary, Marcel Apfel, has become a director of the company.
Apfel (pictured inset) was officially made a director at Ministry Of Sound Group Ltd last Thursday (August 4), according to a Companies House filing.
The lawyer joined Ministry in November 2013 from Pentland, which owns brands including Berghaus, Canterbury of New Zealand, Speedo, Boxfresh, Ellesse, KangaROOS, Mitre, Prostar and Red or Dead.
Apfel added responsibility as Ministry’s General Secretary in summer 2014 – replacing CFO Raju Watts, who stepped up to Director level.
Other Directors of Ministry Of Sound Group Ltd are CEO Lohan Presencer and founder Lord James Palumbo.
Ministry Of Sound Group Ltd – which includes Ministry’s music and nightclub businesses – turned over £34.75m ($45m) in its last reported year of 2014.
Its recordings business alone generated £25.48m ($33m), while club promotion activity pulled in £11.4m ($14.8m).
