Warner‘s Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) has promoted Mike Jbara to the newly-created role of President, Worldwide.
Reporting to Stu Bergen, who has been confirmed as President, International, Warner Recorded Music, Jbara will be tasked with expanding the company’s global footprint and nurturing ADA’s unique identity.
“This is a well-deserved promotion for Mike, who has successfully led WEA through a key period of transformation,” said WMG CEO Stephen Cooper.
“Dedicating an executive of Mike’s caliber and experience to the task of globalizing ADA underscores our ambition for building out ever-stronger support for our partners in the indie community.”
Jbara was previously president & CEO of WEA Corp. Before that, Jbara served as WEA’s EVP & COO, and, from 2003 to 2005, as VP, Production & Media Operations. He arrived at WEA in 1996 as VP, Production Operations.
Before joining WEA, Jbara was a senior manager in the New York-based Media and Entertainment Practice at Andersen Consulting.Music Business Worldwide
