US rapper Trippie Redd has signed a “long-term” deal with Elliot Grainge-owned independent record label 10K Projects.
While not specifying the terms of the deal, the label has said in a press release that the “long term” agreement with Trippie Redd will keep him “at the label for years to come”.
As reported by the likes of Complex earlier this month, prior to the official announcement of the deal, Trippie Redd published an Instagram post suggesting that he had “Just signed to @Elliot for 30m”.
In an additional comment under the post, he added that the agreement is a three album deal for three years.
Trippie Redd released his debut album A Love Letter to You in 2017.
He has since released four studio albums, six mixtapes, eight EPs and almost three dozen singles, amassing 15 Platinum and eight Gold certifications in the process.
10K Projects (Ten Thousand Projects) is a Los Angeles-based record company founded in 2017 by Elliot Grainge.
The firm has found particular success in the world of modern hip-hop, with artists such as Trippie Redd, who has released three Top 10 US albums with the company.
Others on 10K’s roster include/have included Surfaces, Aitch, Internet Money, and Poorstacy.
The news of Trippie Redd’s deal with the label follows last month’s news that Grainge has acquired the Homemade Projects label, with Homemade Projects founders Zach Friedman and Tony Talamo being named Co-Presidents of 10K Projects.
“I know I speak for everyone at the label when I say I am so honored and humbled to be able to continue our extraordinary partnership with Trippie for years to come.”
