Adele has made a rare appearance on social media to further tease her new album – and given away its title.
The LP, widely expected to be released on November 20, will follow the age theme of the star’s previous two albums: it is called 25.
In an open letter posted on Twitter, which you can read below, Adele said that “25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising” and “a make-up record… with myself”.
The revelation came four days after the first taste of the new album – a 30-second clip played during the ad break of the UK’s X-Factor.
Adele’s new album is expected to feature co-writers including Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr, Danger Mouse and Ryan Tedder, who helped her pen her single Rumour Has It.
Adele’s second album, 21, has sold more than 30m copies worldwide, with more than 14m in the US alone.
The artist is signed to Beggars/XL for the world, but her catalogue is licensed to Columbia for the American market.Music Business Worldwide
