Four time Grammy-winning US rapper, singer, producer and drummer Anderson .Paak has signed with UK-based music licensing company PPL for the administration of his international neighbouring rights collections.
By signing with PPL, .Paak joins a roster that includes George Ezra, Rita Ora and ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus.
Since 2019, and across four solo albums, .Paak has won four Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album for his most recent LP Ventura, which reached No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart in 2019.
This year, .Paak signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music in April, and has recently launched a new record label, APESHIT INC., in collaboration with Universal Music Group.
In early 2021, .Paak also formed the duo Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars, a collaboration which delivered Leave The Door Open.
Leave The Door Open was .Paak’s his first US Billboard Hot 100 No.1 hit, and spent 18 consecutive weeks in the Top 10.
The RIAA-certified, two-times platinum single has been followed by a second US Top 20 hit, Skate.
Silk Sonic’s debut album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, is due out in January 2022.
