Universal Music Canada has lost another senior exec to local TV and radio giant Bell Media.
Last month, UMC CEO Randy Lennox exited the major to join Bell as President of Entertainment Production and Broadcasting.
Lucian Grainge replaced Lennox at UMC with indie champion Jeffrey Remedios, the co-founder of the Arts & Crafts label.
Now Lennox has been followed out of the door by Tyson Parker, Universal VP of Communications and Artist Relations in Canada.
Lennox has been appointed in the newly-created position of Head Of Artist and Music Industry Relations at Bell Media – signalling an ambition to make waves in music in the coming years.
Reporting to Lennox, Parker will be responsible for managing relationships within the artist and talent community as well as the wider music industry in English Canada as it pertains to Bell Media’s portfolio of TV, radio, and digital brands.
Parker will work closely with Lennox to grow market share and revenue through strategic alliances.
“Tyson brings a wealth of experience and a deep strategic understanding of the music industry to bell media.”

Bell Media is also Canada’s largest radio broadcaster, with 106 licensed radio stations in 54 markets across Canada.
Randy Lennox said: “Tyson brings a wealth of experience and a deep strategic understanding of the music industry to Bell Media.
“With his stellar reputation and track record, he will be instrumental in our strategy of further developing our relationship with the music industry and help us expand our leadership position as the #1 media company in Canada.”
