ASCAP, the American Society of Composer, Authors and Publishers, has appointed digital business strategist Tony Dunaif as Executive Vice President and Head of International Affairs.
Dunaif joins from on-demand entertainment firm iN Demand, where he was Senior Vice President, Digital Products.
In his new role, Dunaif will develop international opportunities and partnerships that aim to provide ASCAP members with greater value for performances of their music outside of the United States.
He will be leading ASCAP’s international team as well as building relationships with performing rights societies around the world and with CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers.
ASCAP CEO Elizabeth Matthews said: “As the entire media landscape transcends borders and data challenges become more complex, ASCAP is committed to a strategy of global revenue growth for our members so that they may receive fair payments for the exploitation of their music.
“Tony’s experience in digital business growth, strategic licensing and multiplatform content partnerships is the perfect combination of strengths to help drive a successful future for our members internationally.”
