Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds has launched a publishing company, Good Vibes Music, and launched international writing camps hosted by Spotify.
The firm is founded alongside Black Box Music President Jason Murray and is aimed at developing and fostering world-class songwriters and producers.
Discovery Song Camp is hosted by Spotify’s Secret Genius initiative that launched last year to celebrate songwriters and producers through multiple global programs.
The five-day camp takes place in Spotify studios in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville and London in April, May, June and August, respectively.
Throughout the week, selected creators will work alongside Babyface and fellow attendees to write, record, and produce numerous pieces.
Additionally, guest mentors will share their personal experiences and guidance to attendees.
Edmonds has enjoyed a multi-faceted urban/pop career spanning three consecutive multi-platinum albums.
As co-founder of LaFace Records with L.A. Reid in 1989, he nurtured the careers of TLC, OutKast, Usher, and Toni Braxton.
Edmonds is an 11-time Grammy Award winner, and has produced and written/co-written hits for artists from Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, and Michael Jackson – to Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ariana Grande.
“I believe that all over the world there are incredible songwriters and producers that have never been discovered.
“With the launch of our Good Vibes Discovery Song Camp and Good Vibes Music Group, we are giving those songwriters and producers a chance to be heard, to be mentored, and to realize their dreams.”

Discussing Good Vibes Music, he said: “I believe that all over the world there are incredible songwriters and producers that have never been discovered.
“There has likely been many over the years that we’ve missed out on, that were even better than the top songwriters and producers we cherish today, we just weren’t able to see them – weren’t able to hear them. That’s what I’m most excited about.
“With the launch of our Good Vibes Discovery Song Camp and Good Vibes Music Group, we are giving those songwriters and producers a chance to be heard, to be mentored, and to realize their dreams.”
“we believe in fair and transparent deals that will allow songwriters and producers to grow both artistically and financially.”

Murray added: “With Good Vibes Music Group, we wanted to launch a publishing company where the artistry comes first, and the business is the tailwind supporting it.
“At our core, we believe in fair and transparent deals that will allow songwriters and producers to grow both artistically and financially.
“Integrity is the focus as we assist our creatives in navigating an ever-changing music industry. ”
