The Beggars Group of Labels (4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade Records, Young Turks and XL Recordings) has appointed Abby Rubin as Licensing Director in the US.
Rubin joins Beggars from Vice Media, where she was a Rights Management Specialist and handled global outgoing licensing of Vice digital content.
She also acted as the Music Coordinator for several of Viceland’s original series and specials.
Rubin will be based out of the New York Beggars Group office and will handle all US licensing for advertisements, video games and branded content.
She joins Miwa Okumura, who is the Senior VP of Licensing, handling film & TV licensing from the West Coast office.
Artists signed to Beggars Group labels include FKA Twigs, Grimes, Savages, Queens Of The Stone Age, The National, Warpaint, The xx, Yo La Tengo and Radiohead.
The Beggars Group is based in London and has multiple offices in Europe, Canada and Asia in addition to their US headquarters in New York City.
It also runs an office in Los Angeles, CA and a Matador office in Austin, Texas.Music Business Worldwide
