BMG Production Music (BMGPM) has promoted UK Managing Director John Clifford to a global role as US regional head Mitch Lijewski steps down.
Clifford’s title now includes SVP, Global Sales, Marketing & Repertoire.
The promotion is one of four in BMGPM’s international executive team, which has been bolstered by two new hires after a year of rapid expansion following its launch a year ago.
Lijewski will continue to work for the company in a consultancy role, focusing on the production of content for X-Ray Dog, the trailer label BMG acquired from him in 2014.
Sinéad Hartmann, who has been promoted from VP to SVP, BMG Production Music US, and Darrel Shirk, whose new title is VP, Operations, BMG Production Music US & Global, will jointly take over the management of BMG’s Production Music operation in the US from Lijewski.
Clifford (pictured, left) joined BMG Production Music in September 2017 and is based in London.
Together with Geert-Willem Koolhof (pictured, right), who is Managing Director at BMG Production Music, he will oversee international business development and management.
Koolhof said: “I’m really thrilled that John joined us and brings his 25 years of production music knowledge and experience to BMG.
“John and I will work closely together to help define and implement the future business and creative direction for BMG Production Music globally.
“It’s a very exciting time for BMG Production Music, we are growing fast – and we are confident that we have the right people in the right place to create a production music company of the future!”
