BMG has agreed a worldwide publishing deal with Sir Ringo Starr that covers his contribution to music by The Beatles and solo catalog spanning nearly 50 years.
Alongside future compositions, the deal encompasses over 150 titles including Starr’s featured songwriting contributions across five Beatles albums.
Those include ‘What Goes On’ from Rubber Soul, ‘Flying’ from Magical Mystery Tour and ‘Don’t Pass Me By’ from The Beatles (aka the “White Album”).
The deal also covers ‘Octopus’s Garden’ from Abbey Road, ‘Dig It’ and ‘Maggie Mae’ from Let It Be, as well as Beatles rarities.
Starr’s solo catalog includes 19 studio albums.
He’s a nine-time Grammy Award winner, two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and was recently honored with a knighthood by Queen Elizabeth II for services to music and his charity work.
