Artist Partner Group has hired Brian Nolan as President of Global Marketing & Synchronization.
The exec will oversee label marketing, international marketing, sales and streaming, artist development, and sync.
APG says that Nolan will be focused on breaking artists, marketing optimization, expanding business internationally, engaging brand and sync partnerships, recruiting top talent, and serving on APG’s executive leadership team.
He was previously EVP at Universal Music Group’s Motown, where he reported to Chairwoman and CEO of Motown Records, Ethiopia Habtemariam.
There, Nolan oversaw marketing for the label and was a member of the executive leadership team. Ethiopia Habtemariam’s departure from the label was announced in November.
During his nearly six-year tenure at UMG, Nolan achieved a series of brand partnerships and campaigns for a diverse array of artists.
These included multiple deals for Lil Baby and a series of campaigns for Halsey with Beats By Dre.
Nolan’s other achievements include a Mountain Dew and Migos deal that featured the trio and their original song, Position To Win, in a year-long national TV ad campaign, as well as placement for Migos’ Stir Fry in TNT’s 2018 All Star Weekend promotional spots.
Previously, Nolan also co-created the Bonus Tracks program, which helped drive student learning through in-person seminars, internships opportunities, and college scholarships.
