UK music industry veteran Mick Clark died suddenly in hospital on Friday evening (Sept 29). He was 61.
The news was announced earlier today by Clark’s family.
Clark (pictured) was a respected A&R exec, artist manager and latterly a music supervisor for sync and film projects.
He was President of i10 Music Group, the company he founded in 2013.
Clark discovered and signed the likes of Soul II Soul, Leftfield, Maxi Priest, Loose Ends and Grooverider during a career which included stints at Columbia Records, Virgin Records and Higher Ground, where he was Managing Director.

Creation Records founder Alan McGee, who worked with Clark on a number of projects in recent years said: “Mick was a musical genius – up until a week ago he was excitedly telling me about some great producer ideas.
“His sudden passing is a huge shock to me and the many people who loved him.”
Clark is survived by his two sons, Jamie and Callum.
