HYBE-owned Atlanta rap label Quality Control (QC) has appointed Britney Davis as General Manager.
Davis’s appointment arrives just over a year after QC was acquired by HYBE America (in February 2023).
Alongside Pierre “P” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Davis will oversee the daily operations of the label and liaise with the artist roster and affiliated teams.
QC says that Davis will help Quality Control staff, managers, and artists to develop strategies and structure to ensure effectiveness and efficiency across all campaigns.
Davis’s long-standing relationship with Quality Control began in 2018, in her role of Strategic Global Marketing & Operations for Capitol Music Group.
Under the leadership of former Motown chairwoman Ethiopia Habtermariam, Davis led marketing, development, and artist relations efforts on a broad array of artists, particularly those associated with Quality Control.
Davis most recently served as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Artist Development, as well as Vice President of Artist Relations, Marketing & Special Projects at Motown Records/Capitol Music Group.
While there, she led marketing and artist development for Lil Baby most notably his 2020 album My Turn. She’s worked on marketing campaigns for Migos, City Girls, Tiwa Savage, Queen Naija and the Queen & Slim soundtrack, the latter earning a Grammy nomination for the song Collide.
She also managed talent opportunities across media platforms including BET and MTV. Before this, she handled management, marketing and A&R duties for the company’s roster at Phase Too Inc.
“I’m thrilled to be named General Manager of Quality Control, and continue on this journey alongside the team. We’ve already had some incredible success together, and I look forward to continuing this pursuit.”
