Bucks Music Group has signed Bristol-born rock quartet The Jacques to a global publishing deal in a joint venture with The Royalty Network in the US.
The Royalty Network is a long time partner of Bucks and the deal will see the two companies work together across different territories.
The Jacques (led by brothers Fin and Elliot O’Brien) released their first four track EP Pretty DJ in November 2014 and found support from Huey Morgan at BBC 6 Music.
After getting airplay on both 6 Music and Radio 2, they recorded a track called Painkiller for BBC Introducing in 2015.
The band recently released their first new music of 2017, No Kamikaze, via their own label Vegan Cyanide through The Orchard.
They have been recording new songs at RAK Studio with producer Dan Swift. Their next London show will be at 100 Club on Thursday May 18.
The Jacques’ manager Neil O’Brien said: “I am really excited to have concluded a long-term publishing deal for The Jacques’ Fin and Elliot O’Brien with Royalty Network in the US and Bucks Music Group in the UK.
“The bucks and royalty network deal is a classic case of publishers getting involved with songwriters at an early stage and giving them the support and investment they need as young musicians.”

“The relationship has already resulted in a US sync in hit TV show The Royals and will mean that the band’s existing catalogue will be represented worldwide as while their new songs will be exposed to some of the great people both companies work with.”
Bucks Music Group’s Director A&R Sarah Liversedge said: “I first saw The Jacques perform in Brooklyn, New York on the Rough Trade/BBC Introducing stage at CMJ at the end of 2015.
“The Jacques [are] confident and brimming with attitude – kind of early Libertines versus The Pixies. They are young lads craving the limelight and oozing raw talent. We are massively pleased to be working with them.”

“We are massively pleased to be working with Neil and the band in collaboration with our US partners, The Royalty Network.”
The Royalty Network’s President Frank Liwall added: “The Jacques are the ideal songwriter/artists to work jointly with our team, including our joint partners at Bucks Music Group.
“The Jacques’ talent, youthful energy (well beyond their years), and their rock and roll personalities fit right into what we’re trying to accomplish.”

“Together, we know we’re going to achieve astonishing things in the years to come. We couldn’t be happier than to formally welcome Fin and Elliot to our team.”
Bucks Music Group and The Royalty Network have previously worked together in a similar JV for San Diego indie rock band Soft Pack.
The band were featured on TV shows in the UK such as Made In Chelsea, Hollyoaks and Soccer AM, as well as gaining a number of sync placements across Europe, including an ad for Grolsch in the Netherlands.
