Carolyn Williams has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing at RCA Records.
Williams was previously Senior Vice President, Marketing at the Sony label and will continue to remain in the New York headquarters.
In the newly expanded role, she will be responsible for overseeing the marketing staff and continue to lead marketing campaigns for BROCKHAMPTON, Childish Gambino, H.E.R., SZA and more.
As SVP, Williams spearheaded the label’s urban marketing division. She also led campaigns for Grammy Award-winning artists including Chris Brown, D’Angelo and Alicia Keys, as well as A$AP Rocky, WizKid, and the soundtracks for HBO’s Insecure.
Williams began her major label career at J Records, where she crafted lifestyle marketing campaigns for the likes of Grammy-nominated Jazmine Sullivan, Busta Rhymes, Rhymefest, Monica, Mario and Fantasia.
Prior to that, she held various positions at Soul Brother Records, Penalty Records and Tommy Boy Records.
