Clayton Jin has been appointed as Managing Director of Warner Music Korea.
He will report to Calvin Wong, Warner Music Group’s President for South East Asia, Hong Kong and Korea.
WMG says that it is set to reinvigorate its presence in South Korea, increasing ‘investment in local talent, alongside traditional activities of marketing international artists and partnering with local independent record companies through distribution deals’.
Calvin Wong said: “Clayton is an incredibly well respected figure in the Korean music business and I am delighted to welcome him to the Warner Music family.
“We have ambitions to expand our A&R activity in this dynamic market and Clayton is well placed to drive our plans forward.”
Clayton Jin added: “It’s an exciting time to join Warner Music Group. The company puts great emphasis on local repertoire and breaking hits across borders.
“I am keen to ramp up our investment in Korean artists and show them that we can benefit their careers both locally and internationally.”
