Columbia Records has hired Shahendra Ohneswere as Senior Vice President of Content Development.
In this newly created position, Ohneswere will be working closely with all departments to create multi-platform content strategies across Columbia’s artist, label, and creative brand partnerships.
The exec was previously Vice President, Creative Marketing at Roc Nation.
He joined Jay-Z’s company in 2010, initially being responsible for the launch and curation of the Life + Times brand as Managing Editor, in addition to co-producing the Made In America music and culture festival, among other projects.
From 2007 to 2009, Ohneswere was Senior Editor of Giant Magazine.
His first job in entertainment/lifestyle was Marketing Manager for Marc Ecko Enterprises.
