Catch Point Rights Partners, an investment firm focused on acquiring and financing entertainment royalties and revenue streams, has appointed Corey Sorrento as an Investment Associate.
Sorrento joins the company from media investment banking firm Shot Tower Capital where, according to Catch Point, he worked on “numerous high-profile music industry acquisitions” over the past five years.
Catch Point launched in 2020 and has been acquiring music publishing and sound recording catalogs across various genres.
Founded by senior executives in the music and private equity industries, Catch Point says that it aims to “provide creative and flexible liquidity solutions for the owners of music copyrights”.
In this new role, Catch Point says that Sorrento will focus on valuation and due diligence of prospective catalog acquisitions as well as financial planning and analysis for Catch Point’s expanding portfolio of music rights investments.
Sorrento will report to the Catch Point Co-Founders and Partners Richard Conlon, Patrick Riordan, and PJ Miklus.
