In 2024, the remaining members of Queen reportedly agreed a $1 billion-plus sale of the band’s catalog to Sony Music Group.
That sale was understood to include global music publishing rights plus recorded music rights outside of North America (where they are owned by Disney Music Group).
Each year, the group’s music rights revenues have traditionally been publicly reported by its primary UK company, Queen Productions Ltd. (This does not include live concert revenues.)
