Ticketing platform Eventbrite is opening a 24,000 ft² European ‘engineering center’ in Madrid, Spain in May, 2019.
The unveiling of the new property follows the acquisition of Spain-born ticketing firm Ticketea in 2018.
Eventbrite already employs over 80 staff between the company’s offices in Madrid and Alicante.
With the new office, the company hopes to triple the team – mainly in engineering and product development – who will work in coordination with Eventbrite’s other global offices.
Eventbrite’s new engineering center will be located in a four-storey building at No.101 in Paseo de la Habana.
In addition to the new office space, the building will feature a cafeteria, relaxation areas, flexible work spaces, mother’s rooms for nursing mothers, a library, outdoor recreational spaces, as well as a dedicated events space.
“This new office isn’t just a new physical space for us. It will be the embodiment of Eventbrite’s thriving global culture, and we aim to make being here the closest thing to working in San Francisco – with a uniquely Spanish twist.”
