MelodyVR will be bringing its virtual reality entertainment concept to millions of TV viewers in the US on Wednesday, November 13.
The company – owned by publicly-traded, London-based EVR Holdings – is extending its partnership with Good Morning America (GMA) and US broadcaster ABC to livestream an event from Nashville the morning before the Country Music Association Awards.
At the end of August, GMA was reported to have captured a weekly average of 3.721 million viewers.
In August this year GMA, in partnership with MelodyVR, delivered a live, immersive broadcast of GMA’s Summer Concert Series, featuring Mashmello and Kane Brown live from New York’s Central Park.
The broadcast received over 100,000 live streams via the MelodyVR app alone.
The upcoming event will feature appearances by Country Music Association Award nominees Luke Combs and Maddie and Tae, as well as country music legends Trisha Yearwood and Trace Adkins and will be transmitted from Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon.
MelodyVR users will be able to choose their location within the venue and see behind the scenes footage of the stars.
The news was announced by EVR Holdings via the London Stock Exchange yesterday (November 6).
