Inertia Group appoints Meg Williams as Head Of Promotions

Australian full-service music company Inertia Group has appointed Meg Williams as its new Head of Promotions.

Williams was previously one of the co-directors of music company Spark & Opus, where she launched the company’s publicity arm.

Prior to Spark & Opus, Williams was Executive Director of the Association of Artist Managers (AAM) and Indent Project Manager at MusicNSW, whilst running her own freelance PR and management company on the side.

In addition to spearheading Inertia’s core label and distribution promotions, she will be launching The Inertia Group’s move into offering external PR services.

Said Williams: “I’m so excited to be joining Inertia. Having worked closely with many of the team over the years, I have been so impressed with the effectiveness and responsiveness of the PR and Marketing team and can’t wait to further my knowledge of promotions, while bringing what I can do the table.”

Inertia Group CEO Colin Daniels added: “Meg’s experience in promotions is second to none. We’re very fortunate to have such a respected and accomplished person join the ranks for this vital role”.

The Inertia Group offers suite of services to clients such as touring, marketing and publicity, sales and distribution, film and television licencing, publishing and management for artists and record labels.

Its subsidiaries include label services business Inertia Music, concert promoter Handsome Tours, artist management firm IE:Inertia and publisher Gaga Music.

Last month, former Sony and One Little Indian exec Tim Kelly was named MD of Inertia Music. Music Business Worldwide
