Popular British exec Jack Stephens has joined Spotify‘s ranks as Creator Partnerships Manager.
Working from the streaming company’s London HQ, Stephens will report into Shane Tobin – Spotify’s Head of Creator Insights and Activations.
Stephens leaves behind his position in Business Development at concert discovery and ticketing platform Songkick, where he often liaised directly with influential artist managers.
The exec joined Crowdsurge in 2014, which merged with Len Blavatnik-backed Songkick the following year.
At Spotify, Stephens is expected to work on Fans First campaigns offering pre-sales, merch offers, experiential opportunities and artist performances to fans identified via the company’s listener data.
Sources close to the matter tell MBW that Stephens started at Spotify on Monday (March 27), and that his new role will cover both the UK and the rest of Europe.
Other recent additions to Spotify’s London office include former MixRadio and Nokia exec Paul Smith, who joined as Director, Head of International Licensing last month.
Spotify announced that it had surpassed 50m paying subscribers worldwide, adding more than 10m in less than six months.
