Janet Kirker has been named Chief Product Officer at Synchtank, a UK-based, B2B SaaS company providing asset and rights management and royalty accounting solutions for the music, media and production industries.
Kirker’s appointment follows Synchtank’s $5.8 million Series A fundraise in November, which was led by Octopus Ventures.
Kirker brings more than 20 years of entertainment industry experience to Synchtank.
The exec specializes in creative and administrative systems delivery with a focus on intellectual property rights management and integration of rights with financial operations.
Synctank says that Kirker will lead the company’s product roadmap and report to Rory Bernard, Chief Executive Officer.
Before joining Synchtank, Kirker served as Vice President, Rights and Royalties at Warner Music Group, working on the vision, strategy and roadmap for rights management and licensing in global data operations.
Before Warner, she worked at EMI Music Publishing, and has also held positions at LegalZoom, The Cimarron Group, and The Walt Disney Company.
Kirker joins an executive team of Chief Executive Officer Rory Bernard, Chief Business Officer Chris Cass, and President/Founder Joel Jordan.
