Jeannette Perez has been appointed as SVP, Head of Global Synch & Brand Partnerships at Kobalt.
Based in the company’s LA office, Perez will assume the new position effective immediately, reporting directly to Richard Sanders, President of Kobalt.
In her new role, Perez will oversee a global team of 50 in creatively pitching, identifying and securing new film, TV, video game and trailer opportunities.
Additionally, she’ll continue to find creative licensing opportunities in advertising, along with brand partnerships for Kobalt’s catalogue and roster.
Perez will also work closely with the publishing and label services creative teams, soliciting new clients and expanding Kobalt’s reach into the writer and artist communities.

Under Perez’s management, Kobalt says that its North American synch business grew more than 30% in fiscal year 2015.
She has successfully placed members of Kobalt’s roster of talent in key advertising campaigns including Alt-J with Dr. Pepper, Roy Orbison with Nationwide, Jax Jones with Apple and Until The Ribbon Breaks with Applebee’s.
Perez spent 13 years across BMG and Sony Music from 2001, through the merger of the two companies in 2004.
She finished her tenure at the major as VP, Music for Brands & Advertising/Licensing at Sony Music Entertainment in New York before joining Kobalt’s LA office as SVP of Synch & Brand Partnerships in 2014.Music Business Worldwide
