LICENSING ASSOCIATE

Position Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to manage a high volume of publishing and recorded music licensing requests in the UK & Europe, with responsibility from initial enquiry to contract and payment stage, working across all media types. Works under moderate supervision.
What you’ll do
- Respond to queries from clients in a timely manner.
- Negotiate fees, secure approvals and issue quotes.
- Input data and run reports with close attention to detail.
- Research and communicate accurate rights information.
- Draft contracts, respond to redlines and prepare final versions for signature.
- Manage invoice process to ensure payments are promptly received.
- Assist in improving processes and strategies at the direction of department leadership.
- Perform any other duties and tasks related to the department’s role and responsibilities that might be assigned by the team’s management from time to time.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Minimum of 2 years of synchronisation experience, preferably at a music publisher or record label.
- Knowledge of music licensing and copyright concepts.
- Experience providing a high level of customer service, including handling high-volume correspondence and prioritising projects effectively while adhering to short deadlines and working well under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership for tasks with a pro-active, can do attitude.
- Highly organised and detail oriented with excellent data-entry, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain external relationships.
- Highly proficient in various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access)
- Handles and safeguards highly confidential and sensitive or proprietary information.
- BA in Music related field preferred.
