Are you passionate about electronic music and have a knack for discovering talented artists? Future House Music represents artists like: Brooks, Tungevaag, Sevenn, Wankelmut, Mr. Belt & Wezol, 220 KID, Marc Benjamin, Sevek, Felguk, Lady Bee, Tigerlily, Jay Hardway, Dannic, NUZB, SMACK and more. The Myth of NYX represents artists like: Chapter & Verse, DJ S.K.T, Tom & Collins, Piero Pirupa, Thomas Newson, Quarterhead, Sammy Porter, VOLAC, CASSIMM, Illyus & Barrientos, Raffa FL, Dave Winnel and more.
As the A&R and Label Manager, you will play a pivotal role in scouting, signing, and developing new talent while overseeing the day-to-day operations of our labels. You’ll enjoy a combination of work-from-home on together with flexible office days. If you would like to use the company’s equipment at the office, you’re welcome to drop by. Nevertheless you’ll fully experience what it’s like to work in a team of ten. Together with our current music department you’ll enjoy multiple moments of contact a day, daily stand-ups, general meetings, personal calls and monthly team activities.
You, our candidate:
- Can start on the 1st of April 2024 (or later).
- Preferably live in/near the Dutch city of Rotterdam, or able to travel to Rotterdam.
- Resident of The Netherlands or holder of a work permit for the Netherlands/EU (you don’t require VISA sponsorship).
- Degree in Music Business, Music Management, Music School/ Conservatory or a related field.
- Strong passion for electronic music and a deep understanding of the genre.
- Proven experience in A&R, talent scouting, or artist management within the music industry & strong network of industry contacts.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Networking Native: Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts including artists, managers, and other labels.
- Analytics Extraordinaire: Monitor and analyze social media metrics to make data-driven decisions.
- Trend Setter: Stay informed about industry trends and developments to capitalize on new opportunities.
- Eagle Eye: Scout and identify emerging artists with potential in the electronic music scene.
- Master Negotiator: Negotiate and confirm the terms in contracts with artists, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Schedule Champion: Manage the release schedule and support promotional campaigns for new music releases.
- Great Guidance: Collaborate with artists to develop their sound and enhance their marketability.
- Distro Hero: Oversee the distribution of music across various platforms, ensuring timely and effective release strategies.
