Must have a foundational understanding of music copyright and royalty revenue streams with experience in music royalties or rights management (label, publisher, business management, or fund)
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Music Business or a related field, and 5-7+ years of experience in copyright administration within the music publishing industry.
The position requires a keen attention to detail, willingness to learn, strong organizational ability, and a demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
Seeking an experienced music copyright administration (minimum 2+ years experience) preferably in income tracking or copyright roles, who has worked across all major revenue streams and with experience in dealing with CMOs and partners
You will learn about the flow of royalties, pitfalls of data, facets of different rights types, how to read publishing/record deals and everything needed to assist clients throughout the deal process and beyond
The role requires an ability to concentrate for long periods of time, meet internal deadlines, work under pressure and show tenacity when problem solving
Seeking an individual with previous royalties experience, an ability to learn and work with current and new software, and proficiency in using Excel for data analysis tasks
Should have experience of working in a Copyright and/or Royalties department at a music company is required and knowledge of music publishing administration preferred
Required: 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5+ years in leadership roles within contract administration, rights management, or music publishing operations
The ideal person for this role will have previous Neighbouring Rights experience is essential. Excellent communication skills, both internal and external with an ability to adapt communication to the audience
