The Role
We are seeking a Distribution Operations Assistant to join our team, either at our head office in Hull or remotely within the UK. Reporting to the Senior Operations & Content Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency across all aspects of our business, with a particular focus on Distribution.
In this role, you’ll also engage in customer support, managing inquiries, assisting with label onboarding, and handling various administrative tasks related to release distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the Dance music industry, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Day to Day
- Day to day support for LabelWorx roster of record labels
- Managing customer service queries via telephone, Zendesk & Google Hangouts
- Assisting with the management of label onboardings
- Data entry for contracts, Licensor details, metadata, etc
- General administration and managing the daily logistics of release distribution
- Supporting & training labels in their use of the LabelWorx system (LMS)
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key LabelWorx clients
- Checking releases for compliance with DSP delivery guidelines
- Assisting with sales data processing
- Selecting tracks for our in-house compilation labels
- Reviewing new label applications & advising new labels on the set up process
Essential skills to include
- Interested in the Dance music industry, digital platforms and new technologies
- Organized: You are a multitasker where time management and prioritization are second nature. You meet deadlines and your attention to detail is second to none.
- Reliable: With remote working a possibility, you need to be trusted to get the job done and work professionally without supervision.
- Socially Aware: You will be in tune with dance music culture, being able to spot and capitalize on upcoming trends.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills
- Technological: You must be competent and efficient at using basic IT systems such as MS Office & G Suite with a focus on Excel.
