Overview
The National Account Manager’s role is to develop strong direct relationships with our largest domestic accounts including HMV, Amazon and supermarkets. This position requires strong communication skills; organisational and analytical capability; and confidence in dealing with senior management internally and externally. The ability to work under pressure and to be comfortable with the responsibility of dealing with some of our largest accounts is essential.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent the company at terms/business negotiations and meetings
- Service designated accounts with all relevant sales information
- Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with key retail and external supply partners
- Review account performance and work with Head of Sales to develop account-specific business plans
- Work alongside the Amazon Account Manager and provide additional support where required
- Sell in new releases, campaigns and relevant distributed and wholesale catalogue to strict deadlines
- Work with label management and customers to fill retail marketing packs and manage their budgets
- Deal with queries from supply partners and help with pricing and order set up
- Make regular compliance checks on stores and feedback internally
- Review shipping and sales data to analyse sell-through performance
- Review market and internal bestseller information and communicate to accounts
- Supervise stock orders and deal with queries from relevant accounts
- Liaise with customers to ensure consistent range management
- Meet key accounts on a regular basis
- Provide feedback for label managers
- Work with Head of Sales to develop new business leads
