Department Objectives

The Catalogue Management team sits within Sentric’s Rights division. Its objectives are:

  • To be responsible for counterclaim resolution and related society and client communications
  • Handle all communication with external stakeholders in relation to copyright matters
  • Respond to internal catalogue queries
  • Actively manage external UGC platforms to maximise revenue for catalogue
  • Oversee licensing and sample clearance requests
  • To partner with internal teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded, ensuring significant retention and renewal levels are maintained.
  • Ensure clients are at the centre of all activity, ensuring Sentric’s ethos of fairness, transparency and customer focus is evident at all times.

Job Summary

The Manager Catalogue Management will oversee counterclaims, communications, and licensing requests for all of Sentric’s catalogues. They will work closely with Team Leads to ensure we are responding to all catalogue related queries coming into the business in a timely and professional manner. They will also work with Team Leads to develop and ensure systems and processes are in place to maximise efficiency and provide reporting to senior management on team performance.


Job Description

Team Management:

  • Liaise with Team Leaders to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Counterclaims, Sample & Licensing, UGC and Society Comms team.
  • Identify and advise on key areas of focus.
  • Continually assess the operations of the Counterclaims, Samples & Licensing, UGC and Society Comms teams and work with senior management to implement improvements.
  • Work with senior management to set KPIs and ensure they are being met both internally and externally.
  • Work with Head of Rights to ensure the continual development of Copyright team skills.

Catalogue Maintenance:

  • Using knowledge of catalogues, ensure team are equipped to serve as the initial point of contact for copyright related queries from internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Lead on tone of copyright related communication.
  • Provide support to UGC team on copyright matters affecting catalogue management.
  • Oversee deal renewal and termination workflows

Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Provide insight across business to ensure copyright matters are addressed and understanding on catalogue management team operations is clear.
  • Present regular updates to management on team performance against agreed KPIs and progress on key projects.
  • Work with Director of Rights to develop and maintain relationships at key CMO partners worldwide.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy and detail-driven
  • Demonstrable, prioritisation, organisation and deadline management skills required.
  • High level of numeracy
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge:

  • Excellent understanding of the music publishing industry.
  • Knowledge of music society processes

Experience:

  • 5+ years music publishing experience.
  • 5+ years team management experience
  • Prior experience of handling collection society communication

Rock The Job:

  • Office-based role in Liverpool or London. Possibility of two remote working days a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays for Copyright team members)
