Sync Licensing Manager
TSM is a forward-looking independent music publisher with offices in Montreal and Los Angeles.
We are seeking an experienced Sync Licensing specialist to join our US team.
The Sync Licensing Manager’s role is to work in the heart of our Sync Licensing team to help tackle a high volume of searches on a daily basis. Successful candidate is an impeccable communicator committed to serving clients quickly, efficiently, and with the utmost professionalism. Duties include
- Work on music searches across all media and territories, as required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with music supervisors and other partners
- Assist on clearances and license negotiations
- Be proactive, identify potential issues, and suggest resolutions
- Represent the Company at various events, including some travel
Job requirements include
- Music nerds only!
- Collaborative spirit
- Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize to meet strict deadlines
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role at a music publisher or record label
- Understanding of music publishing
- Proven track record of pitching and landing syncs
- Familiarity with clearing music copyrights and negotiating licenses
- Strong network within the industry
- Experience in the advertising space, an asset
- Other languages spoken or read, an asset
Systems
- Essential: Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, G-Suite
- Experience with the following, an asset: FileMaker, Music Maestro
