Founded in 2016, Lane 8’s This Never Happened is home to Sultan + Shepard, Ashibah, Otherwish Le Youth, Massane, and EMBRZ. With four albums released by label boss Lane 8 including his most recent album ‘Childish’, TNH has accumulated over 750 million streams across its catalog. It has also become one of the most play listed labels on SiriusXM Chill, appears regularly on BBC Radio 1 and is regularly featured across key editorial playlists.

This Never Happened is operated in partnership with Involved Group, based in their London offices. Involved Group is home to globally renowned record labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, as well as an artist management division called Involved Management. Their roster includes talented artists like Lane 8, Le Youth, Seven Lions, and Dusky.


About The Role

Lane 8’s This Never Happened is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join their growing team. As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for devising innovative artist marketing strategies, managing social media networks and digital ads, growing online communities and much more. This is a dynamic, diverse role for a driven, creative Marketing Manager in a collaborative, ambitious and fun environment.


About you

You will be on top of digital trends with your finger on the pulse of music marketing in 2024. You will enjoy developing and delivering innovative marketing strategies in line with artists’ vision and integrity.

You will be a clear and effective communicator and understand the power of storytelling. You will have a deep passion for music, especially electronic music, and a clear understanding of all things This Never Happened. You will be proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.


Key Responsibilities
  • Artist Marketing + Content: Develop and execute innovative artist marketing strategies and content plans, working closely with the Label Manager, in-house Creative and external artist teams.
  • Social Media Management: Manage our social media schedules, devising both copy and content that presents our brand and artists in authentic, engaging ways.
  • Audience Growth: Manage and grow our label audience across all digital platforms (including Website, Discord, Newsletter Lists, YouTube, Spotify), while
    staying true to brand values.
  • Event Marketing: Oversee event marketing, reporting on ticket sale updates, delivering content plans and driving ticket sales.
  • Community Management: Manage and develop communication with our audience, keeping them engaged and updated through Discord, newsletters and
    our wider digital network.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee meta ads and Google ads to develop campaigns, analysing and reporting results.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • At least three years experience in a marketing role (ideally music based)
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to write in a clear and engaging manner
  • Ability to use data and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Spotify for Artists) to track campaign performance and prodive
    actionable insights.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing social media accounts, including
  • Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategies, project needs, and campaign goals to internal teams, artists, and external partners.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (such as OpenStage, MailChimp), including segmentation, A/B testing, and automation with ability to craft engaging newsletters
  • Experience managing online communities (e.g. Discord, Facebook Groups).
