Minimum qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 11 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, investment banking, in the Sports, movie/television, gaming, or other Digital Media Distribution industries.
- 3 years of experience discussing music agreements.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or JD.
- Experience in professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking, law firm).
- Willingness to learn with an understanding of technological concepts, financial models, and product features.
- Ability to take initiative and build productive relationships externally and internally, including with senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in key digital publishing issues and trends in rights management including sync rights, performance licenses (and withdrawals), collection societies and publisher/label relationships.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish fluently.

The YouTube Music team’s aim is to create an online home for publishers, labels, artists, and songwriters by supporting successful careers for artists and songwriters and building business models for the music industry on YouTube. In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing business development opportunities to some of YouTube’s most important music publishing and collection society partners, as well as make YouTube’s music business more valuable by identifying and steering the YouTube Music team towards the opportunities.
As the Manager, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with our music publishing partners, including leading discussions on complex licensing and partnership agreements, managing existing publisher partnerships, developing new relationships, collaborating closely with internal teams on key product launches, strategy, and business operations priorities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $157,000-$241,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
