Josh Remsberg has joined Warner Records as its Senior Vice President, Commercial Revenue.
Remsberg joins Warner following two decades at Universal Music Group (UMG), where he most recently served as SVP, Commerce & Business Development at Capitol Records.
Remsberg is based at the label’s Los Angeles headquarters and will report to Warner Records EVP, Promotion & Commerce Mike Chester, who took on the role in August 2021.
In his new role, Remsberg will work closely with Chester in developing and executing the company’s new release and long-term sales strategy and artist campaigns across streaming, digital, and commercial platforms and accounts.
Before joining Warner Records, Remsberg spent his entire career at UMG.
For the past seven years, he was with UMG’s Capitol Records, where he worked with artists such as Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Halsey and Niall Horan, and was also co-leader of the company’s business development and innovation team.
In 2020, Remsberg was tapped to head the label’s Commercial/Sales team as SVP.
Remsberg joins several recent appointments at Warner Records, with Karen Kwak named Executive Vice President/Head of A&R in October, and Steve “Steve-O” Carless appointed President, A&R at the company in September.
