Kobalt has signed an exclusive worldwide agreement with Australian singer and songwriter, Dean Lewis.
The deal sees Kobalt providing publishing, creative and synch services for Lewis’s future works and builds on the already existing relationship around the catalogue.
Lewis’s debut album, A Place We Knew included hit singles, Be Alright, Waves, Stay Awake and 7 Minutes.
The album was Triple J’s feature album and debuted No.1 in Australia, No.18 on the Billboard Top 200 in the USA, as well as Top 5 Billboard Pop Album and No.1 iTunes Singer and Songwriter Album Charts.
The album has been accredited with Platinum sales in the following territories; Switzerland, Norway, Malaysia and the Philippines. Gold in Australia, USA, Canada, Singapore & Finland.
His single Be Alright is now 8 x Platinum in Australia, 2 x Platinum in the US, Platinum+ in 17 other countries. It spent 5 weeks at No.1 on the ARIA singles charts and 8 weeks at No.1 on the TMN Hottest 100 Radio Chart.
Waves is 6 x times Platinum in Australia and Gold in US and 7 Minutes is 2 x Platinum in Australia.
Dean Lewis has played over 200 shows over the last 12 months along with mainstage festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Reeperbahn and Splendour in the Grass, AFL Grand Final & the Australian Open Tennis.
Most recently, in October, Martin Garrix & Dean Lewis released a new track Used To Love, which is receiving prominent streaming playlists globally.
Lewis was also a big winner at the recent 2019 ARIA Awards, taking home the prestigious ARIA Awards for Album of the Year and Best Male Artist for his debut album A Place We Knew.
