Live Nation is selling $20 ‘all in’ concert tickets to help it bounce back from the pandemic

You don’t need to be an expert institutional investor to know that Live Nation has had a torrid past year.

Thanks to pandemic lockdowns wiping out its ability to host concerts (and sell tickets), the company’s financial status has taken a battering.

The bare facts: in the 15 months to end of March 2021, Live Nation’s revenues (across all divisions) fell year-on-year by the head-bending figure of $10.76 billion.

The optimism of Live Nation boss Michael Rapino, though, remains undiminished. He said in May that Live Nation was, in the US, “confidently planning our reopenings, particularly for outdoor shows”.

That plan kicked into a higher gear today (July 22), with Live Nation announcing a run of new $20 “all in” ticket prices for outdoor amphitheater shows in the US taking place this year.

The $20 tickets will be available for nearly 1,000 shows, under the ‘Return To Live’ banner, across more than 40 Live Nation amphitheaters in the States.

For a limited time only next week, fans will be able to buy $20 tickets to participating shows “while supplies last”. The price includes taxes and fees.

Artists who will be playing shows under the $20 ticket offer include the Jonas Brothers, Kings Of Leon, Zac Brown Band, Trippie Redd, Maroon 5, Alanis Morissette, Lil Baby, KISS, and Korn.

“We can’t wait to get back on the road and in front of our fans, it means so much to be able to bring live music back to the people that support us the most,” said the Jonas Brothers.

“We couldn’t be more excited to get back out on the road,” said Zac Brown. “It’s been a long, difficult year for everyone and we’re fired up to be reuniting with our crew, sharing new music with our fans, and celebrating a brand new world.”

The $20 tickets will be available to the general public starting next Wednesday, July 28th at 12pm ET/9am PT on LiveNation.com for a limited time only.

T-Mobile and Sprint customers can score exclusive 24-hour early access to the $20 all-in tickets through T-Mobile Tuesdays starting Tuesday, July 27th at 12pm ET/9am PT.
