MelodyVR has launched its app in eight more markets and added content from a number of British artists.
Today, the app is available in France, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Austria and Belgium after arriving in the US and UK in May.
Users will be able to see live performances by Tokio Myers, UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs and Tom Walker.
The announcement arrives on the same day as the virtual reality Oculus Go headset becomes available to buy on UK high streets.
Priced at £199, it’s the first time the headset can be purchased through offline retailers in Europe.
Licensed by major and independent labels and publishers, the MelodyVR app offers music fans a selection of immersive performances from artists to buy as one-off purchases.
Footage has been taken from sold-out stadium shows, festivals and exclusive VIP sessions.
Over the coming months, MelodyVR will live stream concerts via virtual reality and offer virtual tickets to sold-out shows.
Through its UK-based parent, MelodyVR raised $30 million in funding at the beginning of May.
It brings the startup’s total amount raised to $70m to date and is being used to help fund global expansion.
