Adaptr, a B2B music platform that lets developers legally integrate music into their apps, has signed a licensing deal with Merlin.
The platform was launched in January by San Francisco-based technology firm Feed Media Group (FMG).
Adaptr was designed for startups that have raised less than $7.5 million and earned less than $4.5m in revenue.
Under the terms of the new agreement, record labels, distributors, and other rightsholders within Merlin’s global membership can make their music available via Adaptr with immediate effect.
This news marks the latest licensing deal for Merlin, having recently struck agreements with Tencent-owned music streaming platform JOOX, and China-based music streaming service NetEase Cloud Music.
Feed Media Group’s other music partners include Warner Music Group, Warner‘s ADA, eOne, A-Train Entertainment, Vio Distribution and Insomiac and publishers including Warner Chappell, Kobalt, BMG, The Royalty Network, Southern Music (peer), MCPS and Audiam.
