Midem will once again take place over a weekend next year, after being rescheduled by organiser Reed Midem.
The 2016 event, the 50th annual edition of the global music biz expo, will take place in Cannes from Friday 3 to Monday 6 June, 2016.
The event had previously been scheduled to run from 7-10 June, 2016.
“Midem 2016 will undeniably be the most important gathering of the year for the entire music ecosystem,” said Jérôme Delhaye, Director of Reed MIDEM’s Entertainment Division.
“Given that our aim is to bring together all the key industry players from around the world for this 50th edition, on a date to suit our clients in the Americas, Asia and Africa, as well as across Europe, we felt an adjustment to the dates would better meet this goal,”
Midem 2016 will include tailored matchmaking meetings, plus the first ever International Midem Awards ceremony, a business-driven conference programme including industry keynotes, and live music.Music Business Worldwide
