Omnian Music Group has hired former 4AD Director of A&R Jane Abernethy (pictured) as the new Managing Director for the label group.
Omnian Music Group is the parent company of labels Captured Tracks, 2MR, Sinderlyn, Manufactured Recordings and partners with Seminal New Zealand Indie Label Flying Nun.
It also co-owns the publishing company No Other Music with We Are Free management (Purity Ring, Beach House, Sleigh Bells, etc…).
Key signings in the groups history include Mac De Marco, DIIV, Wild Nothing, Homeshake and more.
In her 15 years in the industry Abernethy has been responsible for signing Grimes, Tune-Yards, The Lemon Twigs and more as well as playing a key role in the discovery of Bon Iver and Beirut.
The label group has also made a series of new promotions, including Pamela Garavano Coolbaugh who has been promoted to Label Manager of Captured Tracks, Dave Martin who has been promoted to Head of Physical for Omnian Music Group and Matt Brinkworth who has been promoted to Head of Digital for Omnian Music Group.
