Independent label Partisan Records has appointed Theresa Adebiyi (pictured) as Creative Director, effective immediately.
Adebiyi joins the company from Ninja Tune, where she was Creative Marketing Manager, working on global campaigns for the likes of Young Fathers, Little Dragon, Maribou State, Cinematic Orchestra, Jordan Rakei, Actress and Roots Manuva.
Before Ninja Tune, Adebiyi worked at Lex Records across a broad range of music and film projects such as the MF DOOM x Clarks Originals and writer Alan Moore and director Mitch Jenkins film series The Show supported in part by Creators Project / VICE.
Adebiyi, who will divide her time between the company’s London and New York offices, will have responsibility for overseeing the ‘intersection between A&R and marketing’.

In addition to this, she will also have UK-specific product management responsibilities for select album campaigns while also overseeing the creative direction and product development for the Fela Kuti catalog, which the company represents.
Adebiyi will report directly to Partisan Records President Tim Putnam and to Jeff Bell, General Manager of International on all UK product management.
Partisan Records, which has offices in New York, Los Angeles and London, was co-founded in Brooklyn in 2007 by Tim Putnam and Ian Wheeler and its roster includes artists such as Cigarettes After Sex, IDLES, Fontaines DC, Deer Tick, Eagulls, The Black Angels, John Grant and more.
