Pete Ganbarg has been promoted to the newly created position of President of A&R for Atlantic Records after serving ten years as EVP of A&R for the Warner Music label.
In his new role, based at Atlantic’s New York HQ, Ganbarg will continue to oversee A&R for Atlantic as well as its subsidiary labels, including Fueled By Ramen and Roadrunner.
Ganbarg, who began his music industry career nearly 30 years ago, joined Atlantic in 2008 as Executive Vice President of A&R.

Since joining Atlantic, Ganbarg has signed and/or shepherded recordings by Grammy winners such as twenty one pilots, Halestorm, and Jason Mraz, and top-charting artists Skillet, Christina Perri, and Theory of a Deadman.
He also signed and A&Rd the Hamilton Original Broadway Cast Recording.
Ganbarg is a Grammy nominee this year as a producer of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Dear Evan Hansen, and he recently signed the show’s original lead, Ben Platt, to an Atlantic solo deal.
In addition, the exec co-produced this week’s No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 album chart, The Greatest Showman Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which features the 2018 Golden Globe winning song, ‘This Is Me’.
Prior to joining Atlantic, Ganbarg headed A&R consultancy Pure Tone Music, whose success stories included Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Chaka Khan, Santana, Train and Donna Summer.
