Last month the New York-based company took a minority equity interest in Premier Music Group and in May it agreed what it called ‘a multi-million dollar deal’ to acquire a stake in British band Culture Club’s publishing and master recording income stream.
This time the company has acquired a stake in the music catalog of the Grammy award-nominated singer and songwriter Dave Navarro.
As part of the deal, Primary Wave will acquire a stake in his music publishing catalog, master revenue streams, and writer’s share royalties.
Dave Navarro is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and actor. He is a member of the award-winning alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction and a former member of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Included in the deal are some of Navarro’s biggest hits as a songwriter such as Jane’s Addiction No.1 smash, Been Caught Stealing and their Top 10 classic Jane Says, as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers hit, Aeroplane.
