Primary Wave Music and production company FiveCurrents are launching the ‘Bob Marley Hope Road‘ experience later this year at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Described as a “revolutionary entertainment experience”, the announcement states that guests “will step into an authentic Jamaican experience as Bob Marley’s life and music unfolds around them in a lyrical tapestry of color and sound”.
Primary Wave partnered with the Marley Estate in 2018 when it bought a share of the legendary reggae star’s catalog.
There will be two iterations of the experience running seven days a week, at night and during the day.
According to Primary Wave, Hope Road by Day will be an “illuminating, shared, multi-sensory experience”.
The announcement adds that attendees “will witness Bob’s electric stage presence like never before, interact with vibrant digital and analog installations, and explore mesmerizing musical and visual experiences”.
Meanwhile, the Bob Marley “Hope Road by Night” experience is described as “an exciting, intimate show that will envelop guests with live spectacle”.
The nighttime version of Hope Road, according to Primary Wave, will feature “striking visuals, sets, and special effects that put showgoers centerstage as they sing, dance, and celebrate Bob Marley’s music and its impact on the world”.
Founded in 2005, FiveCurrents reports to have produced more than $1.7 billion worth of productions worldwide.
Executive producers for the Hope Road project are Cedella Marley, Ziggy Marley, Scott Givens and Larry Mestel. The experience is set to open later this year.
