European music festival brand Primavera Sound has signed an exclusive ticketing partnership with UK-born mobile ticketing platform DICE.
The deal will see DICE power tickets for all Primavera Sound events in Europe, including Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, NOS Primavera Sound Festival in Porto, Portugal, in addition to the Primavera Tours and the club night Nitsa at Sala Apolo in Barcelona.
The deal follows a landmark year for the Spanish-born festival. This year saw 220,000 people head to Barcelona to watch Primavera’s 50/50 gender-balanced line-up.
Partnering with the United Nations to help work towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, Primavera Sound claims to be the first major festival in history to reach its pledge of achieving a completely equal gender-balanced line-up.
Founded in London in 2014, DICE is now live in the UK, US, France, Italy and Australia. DICE’s partnership with Primavera Sound marks its launch into the Spanish music market.
DICE’s platform stops touts since there’s no ticket to resell. As well as this, DICE’s refund and waiting list feature removes the need for secondary resale.
The app is highly personalized for each fan with a ‘Discover’ feature that combines algorithms with music streaming data to recommend upcoming gigs and events.
“Top security features for the fan and the promoter, a great user experience, dedicated service to customers and the suppression of all use of paper in the process make DICE the perfect ticketing partner for the years to come.”
Pablo Soler, Primavera Sound
Pablo Soler, Founder of Primavera Sound, said: “Our team has been selling tickets for Headliner Shows and Club Nights for three decades and Primavera Sound faces it’s 20th anniversary next edition.
“Selling tickets is key, and everything we know from DICE makes their platform the best option both for our festivals and events.
