Producer and songwriter Jenna Andrews has joined Barry Weiss’ RECORDS label – which recently became a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment – as an exclusive A&R consultant.
Andrews’ songwriting collaborators and creative partners over the years include Drake, Dua Lipa, Tori Kelly, Jessie J and Jennifer Lopez as well as producers Doc McKinney, Noah 40 Shebib, Diplo, DJ Mustard, Max Martin and Stargate.
According to a press release, Andrews ‘will bring her collaborative skills of vocal producer, songwriting, mentor/partner, A&R and artist development to RECORDS, working from both New York and Los Angeles’.
Andrews began her musical and creative career in Vancouver where she was discovered by manager Chris Smith (Alessia Cara, Nelly Furtado) who struck a deal for her at Island Def Jam.
“I have been extremely impressed with Jenna since meeting her as an artist at Island Records several years ago.”

After an EP release and a period of writing and recording, she made the decision to switch from being a performer to songwriter and signed with Sony/ATV.
The first artist signed by Andrews (pictured) to the RECORDS label is Lennon Stella – singer/songwriter and start of CMT’s hit show Nashville.
Andrews has been working with Lennon Stella since the latter became a solo artist after leaving Lennon & Maisy.
Commenting on Andrews’ new position at RECORDS, Partner & Co-founder Barry Weiss states: “I have been extremely impressed with Jenna since meeting her as an artist at Island Records several years ago.
“Having been re-introduced to her as a songwriter, vocal producer and all around creative talent, I felt that it was really important and timely to get her more involved at RECORDS as an A&R consultant and look forward to having her as a part of our young company’s continuing development.”
Adds Andrews: I am very proud and excited to join Barry at RECORDS and look forward to joining his incredible team.”Music Business Worldwide
